American Diesel Outfitters LLC is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to support our client’s branch operations in ST Louis, MO within a dynamic environment focused on diesel and heavy-duty parts sales. This role is responsible for assisting customers in person and over the phone, generating new sales opportunities, supporting outside sales teams, and ensuring efficient warehouse and inventory operations. The ideal candidate excels in customer service, relationship building, and driving revenue through proactive inside sales and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in person and over the phone with diesel parts sales and inquiries
  • Process orders accurately while ensuring timely response and follow-up
  • Generate leads and convert inquiries into long-term customer relationships
  • Upsell and cross-sell diesel and heavy-duty parts and accessories
  • Support outside sales teams with parts sourcing and order fulfillment
  • Maintain accurate customer records, call logs, and sales activity tracking
  • Source non-stock parts and recommend suitable alternatives when needed
  • Ensure timely order processing and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with warehouse operations including inventory control and cycle counts
  • Coordinate with purchasing to maintain accurate stock levels
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and catalog accuracy

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required (Associate or Bachelor’s preferred but not necessary)
  • 3–5+ years experience in parts sales, diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment industry
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and close sales
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a branch-based environment
  • Comfortable using computers and inventory systems

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate: $25.00 – $29.00/hr (50K-60K)(BOE) Plus Commission-(No Cap)
