Steve Levy, Founder and Owner of American Diesel Outfitters LLC ®, is a name synonymous with excellence in the diesel industry. With over 30 years of hands-on experience, Steve’s career is a powerful reflection of technical mastery, principled leadership, and an unwavering dedication to the industries that keep America moving — a commitment rooted deeply in his patriotism and service to country.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Steve honed his discipline, precision, and sense of duty in the military — values that have guided him throughout every stage of his professional journey. His path has touched nearly every corner of the diesel world: from turning wrenches and servicing heavy trucks to managing large-scale, multi-state service networks.
Throughout his executive career, Steve has consistently elevated performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. He served as Service Manager at Freightliner dealerships in both Florida and Iowa, then advanced to Service Operations Manager for a major forklift distributor overseeing six branches across Arizona, California, and Nevada. His strategic leadership extended further as Product Support Manager for a Link-Belt, Bobcat, and Kubota distributor in Iowa, where he oversaw five regional branches.
As Regional Operations Manager for a leading diesel engine distributor, Steve streamlined parts and service operations across 12 Midwest locations — driving measurable improvements in efficiency, profitability, and customer outcomes. Most recently, he led as Director of Service Operations for a major diesel distributor in Florida, managing 11 market-leading locations and guiding teams to record-breaking results.
In addition to his leadership achievements, Steve is a recognized thought leader and contributor to the industry. He has authored several technical articles for leading diesel and equipment magazines, and has developed numerous operational policies that have since become industry standards adopted by dealers and distributors nationwide.

His latest and proudest achievement, American Diesel Outfitters (ADO), is headquartered in Norman, Oklahoma, serving as a trusted national partner for recruiting top-tier diesel and heavy equipment professionals.
Steve’s journey has been defined not only by industry accolades and leadership awards but by his resilience as a single father raising three children while pursuing excellence in every facet of life. His story is one of hard work, faith, and unwavering purpose.
