Position Summary
We're seeking an experienced Power Generation Technical Training Instructor to develop and deliver world-class technical training for power generation products and systems. This role is responsible for training dealers, technicians, customers, and internal personnel on diesel generator sets, power systems, controls, and emerging power technologies.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished field service professional with exceptional diagnostic ability, a passion for teaching, and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
As power generation technology continues to evolve, experience with alternative fuel systems such as natural gas, renewable fuels, hybrid power solutions, or other emerging energy technologies is considered a strong advantage but is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Technical Training
Conduct instructor-led technical training covering diesel power generation equipment, electrical power systems, engine controls, generator controls, switchgear, and related technologies. Training may be delivered at company facilities, customer locations, dealer locations, or virtually.
Instructional Delivery Vectors:
Develop Training Programs
Create and continuously improve technical training courses, instructor presentations, student guides, lab exercises, technical reference materials, e-learning modules, and digital learning content. Ensure training materials remain current with evolving products and technologies.
Coordinate Training Operations
Prepare training facilities by coordinating classroom setup, training engines, generator sets, tooling, specialty equipment, audio/visual systems, parts, and training resources.
Maintain Training Excellence
Evaluate training effectiveness through student assessments, course evaluations, instructor observations, and certification testing. Maintain accurate records for attendance, certifications, and training completion. Support dealer training initiatives and assist with instructor certification programs as needed.
Support Customer & Dealer Development
Serve as a technical ambassador by conducting training center tours, supporting customer events, assisting with product demonstrations, and participating in technical seminars and industry events.

Champion commitment to workplace safety, environmental responsibility, operational excellence, professional conduct, and continuous improvement. Maintain strict compliance with all company safety standards and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Professional Qualification Tracks
Fully trained EPG Training Instructor with established curriculum delivery experience.
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline with 5+ years of power generation field service experience.
9+ years of direct experience servicing, troubleshooting, or commissioning industrial power generation equipment.
Preferred Domain Competency
Targeting five (5) or more years supporting the following equipment domains:
